CLASS Key Priorities:
Aging Well in the NE Metro

Key Priorities

The Consortium of Lake Area Senior Services (CLASS) engages individuals, organizations, businesses, faith communities and governments to partner in creating communities that work together to address opportunities and challenges as we age through three (3) priority areas:

COMMUNITY FOCUS

People of all capabilities are valuable and vital members of the community.

CLASS supports the public and private creation and coordination of opportunities for health, well-being and social inclusion. We advocate for services and systems to be accessible to and inclusive of older adults with varying needs, interests, and capacities.

We empower older adults to share and participate in these discussions and actions that matter to them.

TRANSPORTATION FOCUS

Reliable and comprehensive transportation is a vital for older adults to maintain health, wellness, and social connection.

CLASS supports opportunities for the creation of innovative public and private transportation options for older adults and caregivers to stay connected in community.

We empower older adults to share and participate in these discussions and actions that matter to them.

HOUSING FOCUS

Older adults need to have housing they can afford to age successfully in the community of their choice.

CLASS supports public and private opportunities to advocate for affordable and accessible housing options for older adults.

We empower older adults to share and participate in these discussions and actions that matter to them.
