Dementia Stories: Supporting Lake Area Family and Friend Caregivers

Writer: classexecutiveteamclassexecutiveteam

Caregiving is life changing; it is rewarding and challenging and requires support.

Since Mike’s diagnosis Judy has had to learn how to take care of things around the house:

“Little things, funny things I never thought I would need to know like adding salt to the water softener and changing the furnace filter. Mike took care of our finances, so I’ve had to learn that too. I can do it, but I need time to get it done. The Salvation Army’s Adult Day Center is the best place in the world! He gets out and I do too.”
